treatments7No matter what questions you may have about dental crowns and bridges, the Cheshire Dental Centre can answer them. With our help, you will be able to make the right choices about your teeth and how to preserve a winning smile.

If a tooth is broken, missing or has already been substantially filled, then one option is to have a crown made. This restores your tooth’s appearance to its original state by first taking an impression of the existing tooth, then creating a mould do go over the top of it.

This mould matches the shape of the tooth it’s replacing and, once fitted, feels just as secure in your mouth as the rest of your teeth. The mould itself is very strong, and will work just like the rest of your teeth, whilst protecting and hiding the damaged tooth it sits over.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns can be made from a variety of materials, but we recommend porcelain crowns to ensure the best possible smile at the end.

If you’re missing a couple of teeth then it may be worth considering a dental bridge to ensure you can still smile with confidence. Whilst the idea may be daunting at first, it is the best option for those looking to keep their smile, but avoid dentures.

Natural Looking Smile

A dental bridge is usually constructed by placing two crowns over the teeth on either side of the tooth gap. The required number of false teeth is then placed in the gap between the crowns. The dentist will take accurate impressions of your mouth to ensure that when the dental bridge is fitted, it is both comfortable in your mouth and appears natural amongst your other teeth.

If you have any questions about crowns, bridges or any other dental procedure, please don’t hesitate to contact us and ask about a treatment plan. For more general information, or to book an appointment feel free to give the Cheshire Dental Centre reception a call anytime.
